This project focused on visualising future issues with transport in Brisbane CBD and, creating a system and product to solve them. Our team predicted that roads would become overcrowded with cars and in result, negatively impact pedestrians. Therefore, we designed our system so that the CBD would become a pedestrian only area enabling them to commute to places much faster. Our product, ‘ConnecTi,’ worked in conjunction with it by being integrated into the ground as interactive tiles that directed the flow of human traffic. During off-peak hours, tiles could be used as digital signage for advertising, and be physically raised up for use as a seat.
